May 29, 2010 - @Coronaisdope Lol. That was the entire idea of this line of commercials from Verizon, due to Apple's exclusive 5 year contract with AT&T. Effectively, Verizon went with the Droid, and as such, wanted to directly slam AT&T and in a more covered manner, slam Apple's iPhone commercials as well. It worked beautifully.
AndrewDeLong Says:
May 29, 2010 - @LupeOneLeo I actually agree with you there. It's an issue of coverage vs what you get vs if you actually get the coverage. If you live in an AT&T area, fine. But for people like me, who live in a NON AT&T area, the saying goes, a small amount of something fast (AT&T) is still a small amount. That's why this is a Sprint/Verizon area. But like you said, if someone DOES get AT&T (and doesn't travel a lot) then they're set.
LupeOneLeo Says:
May 19, 2010 - I do agree that AT&T's 3G coverage is VERY limited. The difference though is that AT&T has the fastest network while Verizon's, though a bit slower (and not able to multitask with phone conversations), covers more ground. If you do have an AT&T signal where you use your device most, then you will be VERY happy with AT&T's service. If not, Verizon's definitely the way to go. Good news though; AT&T's 4G network debuts next year (Verizon's this year). Maybe we'll see some improvements!

Apr 9, 2010 - @G14Zarco My guess is each Verizon place does NOT have all the date, my guess is though they could obtain the needed data from "headquarters" [can't think of the proper term] to program the phone.
G14Zarco Says:
Apr 9, 2010 - @1nm1 Now that I read over it, they -could- have some kind of database with every user's data, I guess, even though that'd be quite a bit of data, I can imagine.
1nm1 Says:
Apr 9, 2010 - @G14Zarco No, you can't "do it yourself", but your Verizon store could transfer the account info to a phone you brought in, like if you bought the replacement phone on eBay which surprised me.
UWANNABrEtT Says:
Apr 2, 2010 - @aGruntNamedYayap Your so fucking dumb kid they can say whatever they want because Verizon is the number 1 cell phone company in the World. It's a fact not an opinion so they have the right to express it. Go to law school faggot.
Warhound360 Says:
Mar 31, 2010 - The AT&T map in that commercial only shows areas where you'll get 5 bars, where the Verizon map shows all levels of reception, from barely a bar to 5 bars. In other words, Verizon is only impressive to people that don't know what they are talking about. Verizon also doesn't tell you than because their networks are based on CDMA technology they can't do voice and data on their phones at the same time. Verizon is going to be killed in 2011 when AT&T rolls out LTE coverage.
KariWhitee Says:
Mar 31, 2010 - Actually it really depends on your area. For me, AT&T doesn't work where I live, and Verizon is the only one that works. For other people in other places, AT&T works better than Verizon.
